ICD-10 Training Services
Revant Solutions has developed a reputation as the leading educational organization based on our history of “listening to data” through providing technology, auditing, coding and educational services to more than 900 hospitals throughout the US for the past 10 years. Designed collaboratively with our Subject Matter Experts - each with at least 20 years of experience in the industry, our comprehensive program is fully customizable and is designed to ensure retention of the information, while minimizing the interruption to the staffing productivity.Using web-based sessions, the material has been broken down into modules of 2-3 hours each. The off-site sessions contain not only a handout which can be retained for future reference, but also a live streaming audio/video. This allows the viewer to actually see the speaker, which has shown to increase retention.
Using a sophisticated webinar platform, each participant can ask questions in real time and receive answers. By scheduling these sessions at regular intervals and including review information based on specific questions and weak points identified leading up to the go-live date, Revant’s program directly helps a participant to increase their retention of the information. Revant has developed a bank of questions for each module based on the subject matter presented. Drawing from this bank of questions, an assessment is created that allows participants to demonstrate their comprehension of the subject matter. Using this methodology allows Revant to randomize the questions to prevent sharing of answers between participants. Revant also can repeat questions if there is an identified trend within the answers.
All of this occurs via a state-of-the-art internet platform which allows each participant to complete the assessment independently, and provides scores and feedback for each participant which can be analyzed and shared. While the design of the program is the foundation on which the educational program is built, it is important to remember that the content was developed by the leading coding educator in this country. Each module is eligible for CEU credits through AAPC and AHIMA.
The education curriculum begins with a CUSTOMIZED TIMELINE based on the specific curriculum for each client and a steady build up of training by a TEAM OF CERTIFIED EDUCATORS.

- ICD-10-CM Diagnosis Training and Assessment Module - All 21 chapters are covered with a corresponding competency test following the completion of each 2-chapter interval
- ICD-10-PCS Procedure Training and Assessment Module - All Root Operations paired with anatomy and physiology instruction are covered with a corresponding competency test following the completion of each interval
- Advanced Level - Client-specific Medical Record Advanced Level Training Module - Inpatient and Outpatient Coders are trained on all aspects of ICD-10-CM/PCS utilizing medical records from their specific facility through hands-on coding exercises
- Physician - The foundation for all codes assigned by the coders is the medical record and a significant portion is the physician documentation. While extremely key to the overall success of the transition this segment can present the most logistical challenges. The curriculum has been divided into: Overall Introduction, General Diagnoses and Specific Information by discipline
- Ancillary- Access, decision support, and business office staff, physician practice managers, case management, and financial personnel are just a few of the areas in your facility that will need education prior to go-live. Based on the information gathered through the needs assessment, a detailed plan is developed for all other disciplines throughout the entire system
